Stressed over STATUS CHANGE to IN PROCESS ( PMM, Scyla et Experts )

Long Story Short
- Found out via 1st ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION in June 2012 ago that CIC has wrong email for Principal Applicant ( its actually my email as father doesnt use ) but CIC has it as abc23@gmail.com
- Notified them the next day and also became REP of Parents via IMM5476 ( which has the same email for REP CONTACT - abc123@gmail.com ) suggesting to correct the email as well hoping that everything will come to REP
- Found via 2nd ACCCESS to PERSONAL INFORMATION in Septemebr 2012, that they acknowledge both the facts, has REPS email correct and a note that they will correct the principal applicants email
- *** ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT DELHI IF ANYTHING WAS SENT **** VIA FAXES - NO RESPONSE and 3rd Request ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION also delayed my Request
- Found via 3rd ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION on Jan 15th, 2013 that CIC sent MEDS and PASSPORT REQUEST on Nov 8th to Principal Applicant ( regardless of me being REP ) and to the wrong email abc23@gmail.com which I never got and the fact that they corrected the email after this email was sent

So 2 issues

1) They corrected it too late
2) They didnt' send to REPS email ( which was correct )

I panicked as their letter to everyone states the following

You have 60 days to provide the above documents, or to write to us explaining why you cannot comply within that timeframe. If you do not respond within 60 days from the date of this letter, a decision on your application will be taken based on the documents and information currently on file; this will likely result in the refusal of your application for permanent residence.



I emailed New Delhi directly
I sent case-specific email via their website
I called and left a Voice-mail explaining and got email back saying they will send the info to the right department
Got my MP involved who is in touch their Ministerial Unit in Ottawa and explain Delhi....waiting for response
**Not to close File and Resend Docs**

Apparently, it has happened with other people as well and they got the docs resubmitted


Meanwhile, since my parents are here visiting, I got their medicals done since we had UCI and FILE #, and to avoid more delays
Doctor sent it on Jan 23rd 2013, Ottawa received on Jan 24th, 2013

NOW, today our status changed with the following comment

We received your application for permanent residence on March 6, 2008.

We started processing your application on January 23, 2013.


Is this because
1) Meds Received ( So many people have sent meds but they don't update status that quickly ) OR
2) New Delhi has opened my file to due to the errors and our attempt's to contact them OR
3) They are just processing the file with whatever they have as per the warning gin their letter and simply gonna close it

I am really worried, I mean this is not my fault and their own notes suggest they corrected the email a month later and there is no reason I would delay my own case
If they close it, what options do I have? I mean an appeal would drain me out here, do they have some Manager who looks over these things?

I am really worried as IN PROCESS is generally reserved towards the end

Did you submit the updated IMM0006, IMM5406, Schedule A.. etc.. as shown in their mail dated 8-11-2012. If not done, the VO has started the processing with the old papers with them in 2008. As the medical reports are done online, it would be fast but still it is not a good sign if the updated application papers are not submitted. In case it was submitted, then everything would be fine.

I am waiting for them to resubmit the request, unless I can send everything w/o it but that's what me and MP are trying to get sorted Also, Delhi is strange, as last year they requested these papers already and the files which went to CPP-O were not requested the same paperwork but files which went to Delhi did request the same paperwork again ( known fact we know of and discuss in Parents Sponsorship thread )
The only NEW genuine stuff is actually meds and passport request

But the confusing part is what triggered this change in status
Most the users who sent the apps and meds didn't see the change as of yet
Did CIC start my final processing w/o reviewing the notes which indicate what happened?
