Streamlined options for employment?

If this kind of question doesn't belong in this forum please tell me so I can post it elsewhere, I understand my questions are more basic than most here.

Where should I look for employment to apply for a workers visa?

The only thing I could find are general job banks, most with positions for hire "as soon as possible", are these even remotely what I should be looking for? Should I only consider a workers visa after I become some kind of specialist on my field?

It's generally incredibly difficult to find a generalist job from outside of Canada that would be willing to hire you through the LMIA process unless you are a specialist in your field who can't be hired from inside Canada.

Most places that claim to send you a job offer for a generalist or low-skilled position - like construction companies, hotels, "heads of household," etc - are actually scammers who will take all your money if you give it to them.

People who do get LMIAs for low-skilled work are either getting it through family connections, specific programs, or agents who charge a commission through their fees for the work. Be extremely careful.
