Still waiting since June 9.2016

hi everybody,

application was received by processing department on 8th of June 2016,
since then it states "in process"
application is for my wife, I am citizen, it is inland application.

her visitor status expired already and work permit expired while waiting for application to come through.
as well as health check documents are expired and police check probably as well.

any ideas what I should do about it?

1. should I get new or renew work permit or
2. renew visitor visa /get new one?

I thought while she is under process we do not need visa or anything.
is there any place I can call or mail for a proper answer on my case progress?

this is becoming very frustrating...

I don't even have answer on sponsorship approval yet, not even talking about her paperwork...

Your processing time does not look unusual given you applied inland - inland applications take a while. Did you include an open work permit application when you first filed the inland application? Is the the work permit that has expired or are you referring to a different work permit? An open work permit should have been included with her original application in order to keep her status in Canada valid (simply submitting the application wasn't enough).

We did apply for work permit and she got one at the time of sponsorship application but govt gave her 3 months work permit (her original passport was valid for 3 months at that time)
I believe her work permit expired in december around that time.

We got new passport but held off from applying for another work permit at that time as we were told it was necessary and we would get docs will be here soon enough, by the lawyer who helped us do paperwork in the first place. Big mistake should have not listened i guess.

Now i have no idea what to do, permit expired, visa expired.
Which one should i apply?
Or can i call someone to ask qhat is going on for so long?
