We (my kids and I)applied for Canadian visa and have done biometrics for over 2 months now. We haven't been asked to send our passports. Hope there's no issue

When did you apply? Did you apply as a single? Do you need a medical? Processing is at least 9-10 weeks. Depending where you live, you can wait months. Ask further questions under International Students.

Doesn’t matter. IRCC doesn’t expedite based on when a program starts. Processing is at least 9 weeks and possibly many more given the new announcement to cap study permits. Are you taking a Masters? Are you applying alone? Public DLI?

I am going for a diploma, in a Public DLI and I am applying alone.

So all you can do is wait. If you don’t get any response by first week of March then send a webform. Some people wait 3-6 months for a response on study permits. Students applying from African countries take many months. What is the status of your file? Has eligibility and background checks been completed.
