Hi,

My brother came to visit me 2 years ago. He was asked many questions and his luggage was checked. The officer found that he was charged with drinking and driving in his country (my brother told the officer he was charged with it once back in 2008).

Unfortunately, he was detained at the Vancouver airport and deported next day with undisclosed reason.

He lives in a visa -exempt country.

1. Does he still need Temporary visa?

2. Certain period of time he cannot enter Canada once deported?

3. Deemed rehab for drinking and driving since it has been over 5 years?

If you know anything about this, please help me.

Thanks in advance.

He should have been told if there was any. Sometimes it is two years, sometimes it is none.

He has to prove it. He has to talk with the Canadian Embassy of his country.
