Hello, I would like to ask about the steps to be taken in future to apply for a PR.

This is my case, I am working in Montreal under a TWP visa from the past 1 week, my contract is for almost 2 years with the possibility to extend it. My dependant wife is with a OWP and currently looking for a job.

I would like to know from seniors which would be the best way to apply for a PR in future and after how much time exactly, what would be the level of french I would need. And also If it is possible that my wife can apply as the main applicant as she already knows some french and would be better with the past of time, I don' t think so this is possible but maybe seniors can help me with this.

I know it sound a bit early to ask about it but we want to make sure to gain time specially with the "languaje" matter as we want to settle here.

Any other info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Either CEC or PNP are options... Look on the CIC web site for details.

1. The OP is in Quebec, CEC is not an option and Quebec doesn't have a PNP program.
2. He should start his reading at the MICC site. http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/EN/
