Could anyone explain me the steps of Spousal Sponsorship (Outland) once you submit your application.

Could anyone explain me the steps of Spousal Sponsorship (Outland) once you submit your application.

1. Submit the pack (i.e. both sponsor and principal applicant) to CPC Mississauga for Sponsor assessment and approval

2. Receive sponsor approval and Mississauga also tell you the Visa office they have sent the pack to for PA assessment (e.g. London or Ottawa if PA is British etc.). Roughly 15 - 45 days for this step (see spreadsheet in my signature line below.

3. Visa office assess and approve / decline Principal Applicant (PA).
If using the new pack, they will at some point request a medical exam
If using the old pack, you would already have supplied one up front.
If approved, they issue a COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence).

4. Receive COPR with expiry date

5. Land in Canada and declare permanent residence to the border officer BEFORE the COPR expiry date

My wife is in India and my application was received on March 15,2017.

My lawyer linked the application with background and police clearance.

I received Medical request on April 13,2017.

What are the next steps after going under Medical examination and how the timeline looks like in order to receive Permanent residency for her?

Please assist me if you have any idea on steps and approximate timeline in regards.

Hi i am also planning to apply for my Spouse's application. Can you please help me with these questions?

- Did you send the entire application in Canada or in India?
- How does the spouse gets notified for medical exam or to submit the passport?
- How long it took for the application to get approved? (if it did get approved)
- How much were the lawyer's fees?

Thanks in advance if you see this and if you can help me out. I applied for my wife's visitor visa and it got refused now we are planning to apply for Outland spouse sponsorship. Any help would be appreciated.
