So I am currently in Canada in a university but I found another program I want in another university. To save money, I am dropping out to get a refund. I have applied for the university I want to go to but the earliest that they can tell me if I get accepted is on March. However, I will not be enrolled in a university during the time I wait. Is this alright? Will the government come crashing down my door telling me to get out of the country? I know a few people who did this but I went to an international student advisor but they said that things are different now.
