Hi, this is my situation.
Temporary work permit for my exhaust and and me, we are married in Spain, got separated in Canada. We have a 7 years old son that lives with me as per my ex husband is still living in staff accommodation.. My situation here is no longer economically affordable and I need to leave to Spain with my son, but apparently I can't leave without his permission.. What I am suppose to do? I can't afford living here and I want to go back to my country with my son can I? Apparently if I leave with my son he could denounce me for kidnapping my son? I am desperate.. Don't know what to do. If I let my WP expire, then would the situation change, would I be able to leave the country with my son even without his consent? He can not take care of our son by himself as we are alone here, and the money he make is not enough to cover a babysitter all the time he is working..
Please somebody give me some info... It would be much appreciated.

Thank you. :'(

You should not leave Canada without your ex' permission or permission from the court. Otherwise, you may face the situation that he reports you and the police in Spain will pick you up for kidnapping and give you the choice of either going back to Canada with your son or sending your son to him alone.

Google legal aid in your province. You can argue through courts that due to your hardship, you need to move. Your son should be in school at age 7 so a babysitter should not be necessary for you to work. You could look for a roommate situation with another single mother where you can watch each others kids.
