My girlfriend and I are planning to do Outland Common Law as a Canadian and a US citizen. For our application do we require the support letters acknowledging our relationship from our friends and family to be signed in front of a notary public? Also to my understanding the Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (IMM 5409) must be done and signed in front of a Notary Public.

You require 2 notarized letters from family or friends.

The Stat Dec of Common-law is not required.

The Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union is not technically required, according to the forms, but many common-law couples have been asked for it later on in processing, so I suggest you include it now.

Can you add more info in the section that says "if not of the above sections apply what other documentary evidence do you have....."

For us some sections above do apply but we may also have a last will, can that be added in the blank section?
