Status while on academic probation/suspension

I have a question about what to do while Im on a one year probation at my DLI

I was hoping to apply for winter of next year with my high-school transcript but that would mean I’d be at no DLI for the fall.
Is it alright if i just hunker down and work then declare a switch towards winter
Ive talked to advisors. at my now former DLI and theyre not much help as they cant speak to the immigration side of thing, just that i can apply to my desired faculty in the summer of next year.

To the best of my knowledge you cannot work at all while on academic suspension. So the longer you delay starting your studies at the new DLI, the longer the period of time where you cannot work.
