Status of the FSW program

Has the FSW program been stopped as a matter of policy or is it temporarily halted because of Covid19? Will it be possible for applicants from India to migrate to Canada?

Open draws have not happened since last year because of Covid. Draws have focused on inland applicants and the new TR to PR pathway. If the government can meet quotas, no need for FSW draws. So they may resume later this year. The government has said they will change EE program to focus on specific NOCs to but no timelines.

Hi, So one quick question. I am from one of the 6 targeted NOC (my NOC is 2147). I have relevant experience of 7+ years. So any idea when tech draw might be? Also, someone mentioned it might take more than 1 year for processing after receiving ITA. Thanks

Draws happen when they happen. No set schedule. There was a tech draw on April 13. Yes processing is long.
