I applied to sponsor my wife in December 2017. I submitted the application in Canada. She currently stays here with me and the kids. Her application is progressing well. She got her Open Work Permit and she passed her Medical Exam. The online service shows her application at the Background Check stage, it has been stuck at this stage for a long time.
On the other hand, my application as a sponsor has been pending since December 2017. The only information I have on the status is that they started processing it on 8th Feb 2018, nothing else. Is this normal? or should I contact them to inquire about the delay? Is there anyone else who is experiencing the same issue?
