I have applied for my PR under EE on 7th September 2018 ...since begining my background check is in process (May be because of my spouse because he stayed sometime in Canada on student visa)

Is there any idea that where my file is right now?

Please suggest

Everyone goes through background checks, and it starts early for some, especially with these new biometrics tools they now have.
Your file is stored electronically in their system, and can be moved around for work load optimization. You won't get much info by knowing which visa office is processing it.
But if you really want to know, you can order GCMS notes.

Firstly thanks for your response!!I am also thinking to apply for GCMS but on other hand thinking that i should do it after 6 months.

Whats your opinion?

GCMS notes take 30 days to be released to you.
So a good idea would be to do it between 4-5 months, that's when very important stuff about your application gets reviewed, mainly eligibility.
So if there is something wrong in there, you'll have enough time to react and correct. 6 months is the tentative deadline when they look at making a decision. So you don't want to be too late if need be.

day before yesterday I got message in my account----We are reviewing the additional documents provided by You......(We have submitted my husband New Passport 4 Months ago through web form)..Any idea that how long they will take more to finalize the things.
