My friend submitted permanent residency application to the New Delhi office about a year ago. Here is the current online status:

* Received application: October 15, 2008.
* Started processing: December 30, 2008.
* Transferred to Nova Scotia: March 10, 2009.

She has not heard from Nova Scotia yet. She even sent them a letter by post but no response.

Any ideas on how she can check whether the application is accepted / rejected / in-process at Nova Scotia? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
MathCanada

She shoudl contact CHC ND. I don't think there is a way to check for now other than contact them. perhaps someone else cna give better advice.

i think she must send a case specific query via e-mail to NS. and she can expect a reply wihtin 1 month. she can also contact CHC as advised by rupeshhari.

regards

First of all pl. tell whether your NOC code is in 38 category list. i am asking u this because my friend is in the same situation , he had applied in Sept. 2008 , his NOC code is not in 38 NOCS that come under fast tarck program , intially his e-case was showing the same comments as in case of yours, now it shows only "Application Received" Even i had applied at same time but my NOC was in that category , i was demanded full application which i submitted in Aug.2009 and awaiting further response from their side .
I would suggest u to send case specific query by e-mail to ND .

Thanks guys so much for the responses! Unfortunately she has done all the things:

- Sent email to FWS-Centralized-Intake-Office @ cic.gc.ca but no reply (she sent it about 6 months ago).
- Sent postal mail to NS address but no reply (she sent about 5 months ago).
- She does not know the NOC since the application was sent to New Delhi in August 08 and at that time the list of occupations was not out.

Any pointers on what she could do now? I fear her application has either been lost or thrown to some pile since it was before the new occupation list thing.

I am in a similar position. Has your friend heard from CIC? I also applied in March 2008 but no change in status other than application received at Nova Scotia. Did you receive any updates on the application?
Did you send them an inquiry or order CAIPS?
