My status has not changed over 3 1/2years now. Is it that the CIC do not update the information until a decision has been made on your case. I have not received my medical as yet and have no idea when i will. Does anybody share the same experience.

Uff, Sorry to write : mostly it's rejection becasue as per OP decision already in place before medical.
I suggest you to go for CAIPS note and contact local VO made case specific inquiry.

Not sure how reliable ecas is. In my case ecas shows in-process since Jul-10 and says 'we starting processing your application on xxx' . However, when I got my CAIPS notes in March this year, PSDEC is still 0 ie. they haven't even made a decision on my application. I sent them a case specific enquiry in April and got the standard reply viz. We cannot predict when we will process your case ..blablabla...

My advice would be to order CAIPS or send them a case-specific enquiry and hope that they respond.

I am also a 2007 applicant from jamaica. My status is " IN PROCEES" FROM 2007 as well almost four years now and nothing so far. I have already submit my documents and did Police Record in 2009 and still waiting on my medical request.

guess we are in the same boat i applied in feb 2008 a yr after you, and submitted police record,bank statements, etc. from jan. 2009 and up to now i havent hearrd form them . Did you enquire as to the status of your application, and if so what was the response. really would like to keep in contact with you as we are from teh same country and basically at the same point in the process. do you mind giving me your email
