Hello my wifes application status has changed from application received February 25th to in process July 26th. what does that mean? Wh happens next? They have recived her medical alreadya. What happens now. How long until she can come to Canada. she is in Ukraine thank u

This just means that someone at CIC has started looking at the applicant's file. It doesn't give any sense of the remaining processing time, but the quoted times are from the receipt of the file by the visa office, not by the time it goes into "in processing" state.

Sadly, all you can do is wait until you hear something.

well - tht's good news, it means that they are working on your file. Ecas is a bit unreliable so it's difficult to predict for how long it will stay like this, but some movement is always positive.

Ukraine VO has a average waiting time of 8 months, and if your file was received end of february, you have already done 5 months - so if your case is straightforward and you have send all the documentation, you might have your visa in 3 months - but of course no guarantee, because it's up to the VO and it depends on how complicated your file is.

But seeing progress on ecas is always a good thing, somebody is working on your file. Good luck with waiting!

Yah I was so happy when I was approved months bac. Ill be ecstatic when she is. I hope she approved before my bday in October if it is 8 months. Best gift ever

I think it's from when it was received in the VO, so with luck you only have a few months left!
