I'm working in Canada through an open work permit that will expire in 1 week. I was accepted in the Express Entry (FSW) pool and I’m waiting to get an ITA. I plan to switch my status to student. I’m about to receive an acceptance letter from a small private educational institution to study a 6-month short course. This course is not related to my masters degree. I’m applying to this course to be able to switch to student status because I read that is easier to switch status from student to worker (or restore it during the 90 day period), than if I switch my status to visitor. Is this true? How complicated it is to switch to another school or get more study visas after 1 course is done?
