Start of the 5 year period for the PR?

Hello,

I received my CoPR recently and have close to a year remaining on the visa stamped in my passport (to land in Canada).

I'm planning on arriving in Canada early next year. I had a couple of questions regarding the same -

1) Will the 5 year period for my PR begin on the day I land in Canada? If not, when does it begin?

2) Will all the formalities (applying for PR card, providing address for PR card, etc) be done at the airport itself or do I have to go to an IRCC office later?

I really appreciate your responses and it'll help me get some clarity on this.
