start date of the 12 month validity of medicals

Pls I need a clarification on the 12 months validity for medicals. I visited and conducted my medicals on June 12 but results were sent to CIC on June 26. Which of the 2 is my start date for the 12 month expiration pls?

also, i was reading a post on this forum that medicals must still be valid for 6 months after submitting to CIC - i haven't come across such on cic site though?
