Now you don't need to get Off-Campus Work Permit. So sometimes they write on your study permit that you are allowed to work off-campus but no more than 20hrs/week and sometimes they don't write anything on Study Permit so you need to get "Confirmation to Work Off-Campus" from CIC. You can apply for this letter online. You need to attach a letter from your university that you are registered Full Time Student along with your Letter of Acceptance and will get that letter from CIC within 10 working days via email. So now you can take this letter to Service Canada office to get your SIN.

If you are registered Full Time Student at your school then you can work. As legally you should start working when your classes will start but meanwhile you can explore different opportunities available there so that you can start working from very 1st day of your classes.

You can get ur sin immediately after u land in airport.. u can start working from day 1 after u land !! No worries its not a big deal.. i took it after one week landing in canada..u can get ur sin anytime going to nearest service canada office for freee at anytime

It means that there is no need to filll the form? I can get directly apply for SIN.

If I arrives before the start of classes can I work before start of classes i.e a month before?

As I applied after june 1 2014.

So if I land two weeks or month before the classes starts? Can I start working before start of classes full time as I would be under holidays?

Legally ur not allowed to work before ur course course starts ..but people come early and work illegally and they get paid in xash insted of cheques using sin.
