Great Relief :)

Kenney says.....

"Skilled Worker applications already in the system will be processed based on existing criteria. New criteria apply to new apps."
(Source: Twitter)

Now just hope he does not prioritize the new apps over the existing ones as he always do!

Processing times updated. It's 24 months for New Delhi.

it does not matter any more now... since most of us have already crossed this date....

Yeah. Now only thing that matters is - when would we get our Passports back?
We're already many months past this date.

Matter of Hope for MI-1 applicants :D

(From Twitter):

Nature Lover's query:
‏ @ kenneyjason
Pls consider clearing all backlog before taking in fresh FSW apps this time. Sad to see LIFO of apps of same NOCs but newer MIs

Jason Kenney's reply:
@ 1naturelover
That's why we have put a pause on new FSW applications, to allow us to focus on eliminating the backlog in that program.

Sorry. This is a thread of Pre-June applicants, i.e., MI1 applicants.

Hello Minhas82,
My timelines are much similar to yours(albeit the NOC isn't). I got my CAIPS/GCMS earlier this week...

Application group name - MI1 RFV Docs pending
Points awarded by the VO – 71
Selection Status – Passed
Security Status – BLANK
Criminality Status – Passed
Comments by VO – Eligibility passed, Funds Met, Crim: No Adverse info;Passed, Please issue med X 2, and request :- Indian PCCs, RPRFs, PPTs
Last application update date: 01.06.2012

I have been saving the excel sheets of quarterly data release on data.gc.ca. Wanted to share the data which shows that the files of MI1 applicants are being worked upon. The MI1 inventory comparison of April 2011 Vs April 2012 is mentioned below. This is the data for the total number of applications for all CHC offices worldwide:

Inventory of MI1 applications with CHC offices worldwide
No. of cases No. of persons
As on 1st April 2011 52423 141098
As on 1st April 2012 32641 91104

Inventory of MI1 applications with CHC New Delhi
No. of cases No. of persons
As on 1st April 2011 8130 20639
As on 1st April 2012 5053 13236

Looking at the data, one can make out that they are working on the MI 1 applications. Though the speed is very slow as compared to MI2 and MI3, but at least we can be hopeful that the cases would be cleared.
That would help pep up the optimistic attitude of all the forum members
