Dear all,

Got my Caips report.
My PSDEC & SELDEC is 1.
BF'D is on 31st May 2012.

Points calculated are 69(my husband's adaptability points are not added yet)
Proof of settlement funds: satisfied

And requested to ECU to request the following
Updated proof of funds of 11,115 CAD
PPTs
MEDs
RPRF

This was their initial assessment

Now my spouse has been added, but the updated forms and document have not been checked.

Congrats

What was your processing start date? How did you show POF (bank statement, FD, etc.)?

Please see my signature for processing start date.

I photocopied my bank passbook-got that stamped and signed by the manager there.
Also submitted my Form-18 & IT returns and salary slips.

canpr/// my processing date is also Feb. 17. nothing news

Sharmilas, sorry to hear that. I am sure you are not alone. I will pray for you speedy processing. Mine could be because, I submitted offer letter and switched to AEO virtually. I should probably be waiting if I applied from outside Canada. Our cases are not same. So, don't lose heart please. Things should start moving soon. I know it's easier to say but, after waiting for almost 3 years, that's the best I could offer and my prayers.

Hi All,

I have one doubt. Please help in clarifying the same at the earliest.

We have done a Fixed Deposit in a Govt. bank towards POF and sent the receipts along with the bank's letter, duly signed and stamped by the branch manager, along with the full documentation, in the month of Oct'10.

That is was getting delayed a lot, and since we were moving back to our home town, we had taken out all those FDs in the month of August'11 and invested in purchase of a land (almost 10 months after the deposit).

Now that the files started moving and the status changed to IN Process in Feb'12, do we need to maintain the funds now? Do we need deposit the money again and show the new POF at this point or not required? IF required, is it ok to deposit when asked for or do we need to do it now? Will they question about the absence of POF as provided earlier? Will they accept if we suddenly do an FD for such a huge amount at a time, when required?

-RSK

They may ask updated proof of funds.
You can check my post of caips report.

The VO though satisfied by my proof of funds have asked the ECU to request updated proof of funds.
So you may need to deposit the money again, in case they ask.

You can deposit the said amount in a single go provided you are able to show sufficient proof that the money is yours only. for eg, sale of gold or real estate or inheritance.

Dear nano,
Kindly assist me with this.
My 'In process' date is in January, 2012 and b'fd in the month if May, 2012. I had applied for myself, my wife and our daughter who is 4 years old now. We are expecting our second child later this year. A have not yet informed CIC regarding my wife's pregnancy. (I would be informing them soon). My question is, now that we were expecting to get call for our medical examination from CIC, since my wife is pregnant, so she would not be asked to undergo medical examination till her delivery. Does this mean that MY medicals would also be delayed? Or is it possible for me to undergo my medicals and once she delivers, then we can get my wife's medicals after we get my second child's name entered in the application - by the end of this year?
Kindly help me with this.
Waiting for a reply from your end.
Thanks.

Dear Ind2ca,

Inform the CHC ND immediately regarding your wife's pregnancy by sending a letter or fax along with a letter/certificate from gynecologist indicating the tentative date of birth.
It won't matter if you get medicals now or later as no further processing will be done until your wife undergoes medical.

Do not forget to update proof of funds.
Regards,

Now what is this..... (another announcement by immigration minister)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/speeches/2012/2012-04-17.asp?utm_source=media-centre-email&utm_medium=email-eng&utm_campaign=generic

"Secondly, we will be bringing forward legislation that allows the government to retroactively apply regulations for the selection of immigrants to those who are already in the queue. This means, for example, that as we reform the points grid for the selection of skilled workers to put more emphasis on language proficiency for those who want to work in licensed professions, to put more emphasis on younger workers who we know succeed better over time in Canada, to put more emphasis on Canadian as opposed to foreign work experience, we will be able to apply those criteria to those who are already in the queue".

Why don't he just refuse all previous applications in simple words >:(

What are these guys upto??
I just want my case to be over with.

Earlier they legislated the pre feb applications and now they have found another way to eliminate backlog of MIs.

Cant they simply tell us what they actually want.

Whats negative in this speech

First he wants Doctors first then other ,How many doctors have applied 1K 2 K let them travel first the what,
we will fill the remaining quota

second English

How are you effected you are not planning to open a Clinic,C A Office etc

I Think This is good news , No matter what the Period of being in a Limbo will be soon Over

We are moving, in this Economic Action Plan, to deal decisively with that backlog by returning three-quarters of the applications in our system, so we can start fresh with a clean slate, with a just-in-time immigration system. By 2014,

While it is good that our backlog cases maybe over by 2013/2014, but what one realizes from this speech is that the ministerial instructions may change giving emphasis on

1. Canadian Work Experience
2. Age
3. Profession/NOC

And no-one can predict the NOC priority. Everyone can look into the hrsdc website and see that the graph is positive for their occupation, but fail to realise that it is positive for 99% of occupations.
Secondly it doesn't matter if all occupations are positive as long as the demand is fullfilled by canadians, a particular NOC features in the in-demand list only when those occupations cannot be fullfilled by locals.
This is the reason canpr got his medical request and we did not.

Anyways I think this will be good for all applicants under 30/35(as they can pay maximum tax by the virtue of their long employment in whatever field), those whose NOC are still featured in the in demand list(I am tradesperson so no worries for me), those who have canadian ties or experience(i don't have any Canadian experience, but my husband is doing PHD there).
