Dear Lokoloko,

Please find my observations below:
PSDEC 1 Your paper screening was good and you are selected
SELDEC 1 You have been selected
SEC CRIM 1 There is no criminal record.

They will soon be requesting you medicals, etc
What I feel is that VO does not send medicals but request via system to some other dept, etc to do the paperwork etc.

You should be getting a decision made on your file on your BF'D date.
This is just my assumption. I maybe wrong too.
So assuming that you send in your papers before this BF'D(if requested) you'll get a decision on this date..
SELDEC means selection decision that's right. But it also denotes interview. If it is 4... means interview is waived. This is what I read at many places in this forum. But there was a guy whose SELDEC became 1 after interview. In my case, it is 1 even now. I am confused regarding this. This SELDEC thing in CAIPS is always very tricky and not easily understood even by most of the senior members.

Is there a code-X2003 in your caips???
As per the link I quoted in my post before it could mean interview required.

I ordered CAIPS with the help of my relative in Canada.
Just had to fill 2 forms. This is how you do it:....

You need to fill the following form authorizing your relative to access your information on your behalf. Write your own email ID in the column of your relative's information so that CAIPS come direct to you via email as happened in my case. You can send it to him/her by email after filling, signing and scanning:
www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5475E.pdf

Then your relative will fill the following form for you. you will have to provide him/her your first/last name, date of birth, file number and processing visa office, and he/she will also fill his/her name and address as a requester (Your relative must tick "Receive copies of the records" under "Access to Information Act" block, NOT under "Privacy Act" block and also Tick on request for CAIPS):
Download form 5563 from:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5563.asp

Both forms to be mailed with ($5 cheque or postal money order from CanadaPost, payable to "Receiver General for Canada") by your relative to the following address:

Access to Information and Privacy Coordinator
Narono Building
360 Laurier Avenue West, 10th floor
Ottawa, Ontario
K1A 1L1

For further information:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

Thanks for this valuable information.

Just to update you on my observation on Pre-June, 2010 applications

Stage 1: Nearly Completed
CHC is already determined (Accept or Reject) on all the Pre-June, 2010 applications
• Eligible for Medicals (List is ready)
• Rejections (letters already sent to respective applicants)
• Clarification (Need updated documents or additional supporting documents)
• Identified applicants for Interviews
Meanwhile they may prepare list of all the successful applicants and compare with the this year quota for Pre June(This is for entire CIC).

Stage2: March to June, 2012
• Issue additional or updated document request
• Issue Medicals, Fee and PPR
• Invite for Interview (If required)

(July to Oct, 2012 CHC will be busy with New application.)

Stage3: Nov to March, 2013
• Issue Visas

Than it means that you are through.
Wait patiently for your medicals....

PM me your email ID. I will send you the forms by marking only the places which I filled and leaving blank all others.

My relative DID NOT fill any landing records etc. and DID NOT had to send any photocopies of her Citizenship/PR card. Just 2 forms and $5 check and I got CAIPS directly in my email after 5 weeks.

lokoloko, if I live in Canada but, for the time being I am in India for vacation, do I still have to depend on someone from Canada to submit the application for the CAIPS? Or, can I do it by myself?

Thank you.
