Hai …………….

I applied for PR on 10th October 2011 and file reached CIO on 18th October 2012.

I received AOR+PER on 12/01/2012. My current e cas is showing as IN PROCESS

The meaning of In Process explained in the site is “Based on review of your complete application package, it has been determined that your application is eligible for processing.
Processing has begun.

When I click on In Process, ONLY ONE the message is showing that is “We received your application for permanent residence on 18/10/2011”

What I need to understand from this: My file reached Visa office in London and they started processing

Or

Still my application is with CIO

I am eagerly waiting to receive a reply

Pls explain

Regards

Joseph

Guys I don't want to discourage anyone but personaly I think that prejune NDVO applicants may still have to wait a little longer due to the following reasons:
  • NDVO have given processing dates to almost all span of prejune applicants (even to the last ones). I don't think they can issue so many MR's/Visas in coming few days at same speed.
  • NDVO has replied to the CSQs of few members that the processing of the applications filed before June 2010 "is likely to begin in 2012 but may not be finalized until after 2012"
  • NDVO has not so far demanded any document updates from us.... means they seem to have an idea that such information/documents will become old and useless until the cases will actually be processed. So they may have to demand these documents again in any case.
  • In case of MI-2 & MI-3 cases, the applicants usually receive MR within a week of their status getting in process, then why there is so much delay in our cases? We too are under so called "fast track" (at least in terms of procedure). e.g. once the passports are requested, then regardless of whether it is MI-1, 2 or 3 case, all get their passports stamped in fairly similar times. Then why at this step "In Process with Date", we are too much delayed for MR
Let me remind you that NDVO did such things in past as well. They got the documents updated (in 2008) from large number of pre MI-1 applicants who applied in 2003/2004. But issued MRs to just a handful of applicants. The rest are still waiting for last 4 years even after updating all their documents.

But then how did atul.amin got MR?
I feel that some members tend to keep their secrets. The actual picture is sometimes totally different. As I saw with another member (I don't want to disclose his name), I was very excited to see that a prejune applicant (as per his timelines on his profile) has got medicals after just a few days of getting into in process. But when I went through his previous posts, I came to know that he had applied again under MI-3 last year, so apparently that medical request was for his second application. I don't know why he was so reluctant to disclose the truth. He never replied my PM regarding this.
(It may not be same in atul.amin's case....but he knows better)

Please don't get mad at me for my last 2 posts. I am as desperate for Visa as anybody else.
But I don't trust CHC New Delhi. They don't even truthfully display the actual processing times of backlog cases on CIC website. Other VO's (Manila, Sydney, London etc.) are much more trustworthy.

I dont like what I read, but I agree with you Lokoko. I sincerely hope NDVO is not upto some cheap tricks >:(

Guys!!!
Relax....

For applicants of MI-2 & MI-3, background checks begin at the CIO stage itself. After In-process the CHC only needs to send MR.

Earlier MI-1 applicants for CHC ND got their medicals in 6 to 8 weeks after getting in process.
Lets wait for March. If our files are truely in process than most of us will be getting medicals in March-April.

I will be so glad if I am proven wrong in coming days.

But right now I feel that it might just be another idea that came into the fertile minds of CIC people.... Just put the "in process" status in all prejune applications, so that they are no longer entitled to the refund of processing fees if withdrawn at this stage (They must be tempted to withdraw after waiting for so long now)
