Hi,

I have applied to Red River in Manitoba under the SPP program. I have a few questions if one can be so kind to reply.

Firstly, the financial information. I have more than 50L in my bank account but SPP stresses the need to apply for a bank loan. I shall be paying the tuition with my bank funds and take a loan of 10k CAD (against a FD).
IN both cases, my agent has advised to show A) bank reciept of wired funds B) Bank receipt of loan sanctioned. HE has categorically advised against showing bank account statements. Why ? I do not know but is this correct ? will the canadian embassy be satisfied without showing them bank statements ?

Secondly, the manitoba immigration benefit after graduation. It states that a person needs to be working 6 months after graduation to apply for residence. There is conflicting information on the internet regarding whether the work has to be in ones area of education or can be in any field. can someone please confirm this ?

after studies the work should be in any area...that is sure... Under which course you have applied ??
 
When did you applied..........?? Have you got your letter of acceptance.....share your profile with ielts bands

what you have opted??
and this is sure no need of bank statements and even property evaluation just only bank loan is enough.

and by the way it is true that you will have to work for 6 months after graduation in any stream then become eligible for MPNP.

Its been a week since i recieved the letter of acceptance, and a little over a month since i applied. The course was IBM. (well my agent recieved the letter he sent me a scanned copy)

I scored a 8 on the IELTS. Dont panic if you havnt heard from them. Keep calling the international office and pester them about the status of your application, I did it to a point where I threatened them that I will start applying to other colleges if they didnt make a decision fast as I have to make the January session. They were busy with september intake and have just started on the jan intake .

Secondly im still worried about this Financial part, its making no sense.

My agent is suggesting only CAD 10k bank loan for living expenses and asking i pay tuition from my funds which is around 11k. Anyone who wants to game the system can easily A) sanction a bank loan for 10k for living expenses and then B) after that (once a bank letter showing living expense funds is sanctioned) use the same funds meant for living expenses to wire them for tuition.

In other words people who arent financially sound can make an attempt to clear this hurdle. Im sure the people at the canadian embassy arent stupid and I would hate to get unnecessarily delayed in more paperwork

yeah bro you can also do that,actually there is need to show only (1 yr tuition fee+ 8000$ as expense in loan) If you pay full tuition of course then you just need loan of 5-6 lakhs only for showing living expense
but I can't pay full fee that's why i am going to pay 1 sem. fee from my pocket and will take loan of 10 lakhs approx. just as a formality of requirement,
once I got the VISA I will disburse the loan later

So, don't take lots of tension of financial ,your ielts are good.You will get the visa !!!
