Seeing as you don't receive any additional points for a spouse's work experience, is it necessary to include it as a part of the EE profile? It just means more paperwork in the end (when we will have to show evidence of the work experience in the form of payslips, etc), but I also don't want to be guilty of misrepresentation.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

We included it in work history but if you're not getting extra points and can't get the relevant reference letters, just leave it out but include it under 'personal history'.

Sorry to hijack the thread but am curious no extrra points are rewarded for spouse work history???

Hi Wolverine,
As I understand it, you get points for spousal work experience in Canada, but not foreign work experience. I could be wrong.

You will not get points for spouse's foreign work experience. You get points only for spouse's Canadian work experience. Check the points that will be available/applicable under 'Spouse or common-law partner factors' http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp#a1.

Hey, were you successful in leaving spouse work history blank? also please tell me whether you got work permit for spouse too. I'm confused whether there will be issues in getting work permit for spouse if I leave spouse work history blank. please guide, thanks

Hi,

My spouse also has non Canadian work ex for which I haven't got any points. I am planning to submit his relieving letter(which contains joining date and last date) for past employment and pay stubs+ generic employment letter for current employment. is this fine ?

Do I need to explain this in LOE ?
