Hello,

I need an advice please : My wife is actually working for 2 years now, I Put this experience in my express entry Profile.

problem is her company is going bankrupt and is refusing to give her a work certificate.

I've received the ITA and dunno what to do since work certificate is mandatory as far as i know.

Any advice please ? is it really mandatory for spouse also or only for me since i'm the principal applicant?

thanks a lot.

Is this Canadian work experience? If yes and you received points for it, you need to get the reference letter - or alternative ways of proving it with pay stubs, letters from supervisors, etc.

If this is foreign work experience, just remove it from the profile. It doesn't matter for eligibility or points.

I assume your wife is not the principal applicant. If she is, it's a different story.

Hello and thanks for the answer,

I am the PA.

No it's not canadian Work experience.

I can't see how to change it. should i Accept the ITa to be able to change it ?

Ps : I received the ITA but didn't accept or refused it yet.

Yes, accept the ITA. The EE profile is locked and can't be changed.

Once you start working on your application, you will see a questionnaire very similar to the EE profile. All the information you provided in your profile has already been carried over.

This is where you remove your spouse's work experience in the applicable section.

If you want to be 100% correct, you can also include an LoE to explain why you removed it.

This. OP, follow the steps Dexmoody mentions. All the best to you. And thanks to Dexmoody for being so helpful.

Did you wife got points for her foreign work experience? In case yes, you need to submit the letters. Check very closely on which factors your wife was awarded the points.

There are no points awarded for the spouse's foreign work experience, neither in the CRS system nor the FSW system. It is safe to remove that work experience.
