Spouse who is self employed

Hi we have received an ITA and are currently working on the necessary documents. I am the lead applicant with the required work experience. My husband has been self employed for 2 years (has references for time before that) so I am looking for advice on what he needs to show to cover his recent 'work experience'.
I have seen on another thread that he should provide 'tax papers and client logs etc' but looking for a bit more specifics on what would be required? Can anyone advise from their experience?

Hi yes mentioned it there too but was wondering if there is a format/minimum amount of info for the tax docs, client log part for the work reference evidence?

If it is in personal history then you do not have to provide any proof of work experience.
