My query is - I am a PR since Sept 2018, I went back to India to get married in Oct 2019 and from there went to Cayman Islands to live with my husband. I haven't entered Canada since Oct. I have also resigned from my full time job in Canada. As I became PR in Sept 2018 and I have completed my one year of residency before going India for marriage.

1. When should I apply for my husband's PR, since we have to stay here in Cayman due to his job contract and we have a plan of moving to Canada by the end of 2021.
2. Also, does living outside canada and unemployed right now will affect the case filing for spouse visa.

I get confused with the alternate option of moving to canada, apply for his PR, stay there for few months and come back to my husband but to note I do not have a job in hand canada.
Please guide me what is the best way of getting my husband's PR. Thanks

You have to be living in Canada while you apply to sponsor him and be compliant with your RO. A short visit of 2-3 weeks seems to be tolerated but you can not apply then return to the Cayman Islands.
