Hi,
As anybody else, I also need help, and that’s the reason I am here. Please help me on this. Following is my case scenario:
I have been dating this girl in Canada (she is Canadian Citizen) from past one and half year and we are planning to get married in June.
I am currently in USA on H1B visa. I have been in USA from past 5 years, I came here on F1 (student) visa and got the job after study and now on H1B visa.

Now my question is that: After marriage we want to live together in Canada. But inorder to do that I need PR from Canada. So right now I am looking for a faster way to get the process and approval done. Can anyone advice me on doing Inland or Outland application? And What will be the best option considering my requirement and my scenario?
Really looking forward to hear from you guys,
Thank You,
Roshan

P.S. – I already have Canada Visitor visa.

Hi

She will need to sponsor you for PR after you are married. There is no way to speed up the application.

The big negatives with inland is that you will be unable to leave Canada for the entire 14 month process, you will be unable to work for the first 6 months while waiting for sponsor approval and you will be unable to appeal if your app is denied.

With outland, you can continue your job in the US, visit your spouse in Canada during the process or she can come visit you and if the app were denied, you could appeal. And it is faster than inland.

Inland is 14 months. Outland, you would be going through CPP-Ottawa, see this page http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/cppottawa-t118769.0.html, they have a spreadsheet with current applications.

And check out this page for a good explanation on the entire process, including outland vs. inland. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/spousal-sponsorship-t46995.0.html

Thank you canuck_in_uk!!!

Does it make any difference on where I get married? Shall I get married in Canada or USA?

Makes no difference as long as it's legal.
