Spouse visa pending from 4 months

I am on study visa and I applied my spouse visa on 12 April still shows in progress nothing happens...what i can do now...??? My study is also completed. What i can do to check why they taking long time or what’s going on in my application...please let me know..

One of my colleagues has the same problem. He even went to the kreisbüro and sent e-mails. The response he received was please be patient, your permit is being processed.

We suspect it had something to do with sexism. It seems that men get their permits quicker then women.
