Hello seniors

Please suggest me with your valuable opinions.

I have applied for a 1 year PG course in Ontario. Upon acceptance, I’ve submitted my visa application from Bangladesh through VFS on last month. I am married with one baby girl. Actually I want to move along with my spouse and dependent baby during my study period in Canada. I wanted to submit my spouse and dependent baby's visa application along with my student visa application, but every one around advised me not to include my family as I will fail to prove strong ties back in Bangladesh. They suggested me that they should apply after completing my first semester. So I lodged my application without including my wife and daughter.

Although my visa application is still under processing and no one can say if I get visa or not, I am very frustrated to think of living apart from my family for long. My daughter is 8 months old now and going through changes.... every day I see her new interactions, I feel so sad to think of living apart from her and my wife.

My question is, if my wife submits her application along with my baby, immediately after I get my visa stamped what is the possibility for them? Will it be better for them to apply after completing my first semester?

My mother is my sponsoring the funds required for my studies and she can not cover my spouse's living expenses but I myself have adequate funds to cover their living expenses which I did not include in my visa application thinking that my mother's fund is enough for it. I am ready to transfer the entire fund in my wife's name if necessary. Will it make their application stronger?

My course is a one year PG course and if my spouse have to apply for visa after my first semester (4 months) will it be a draw-back that I’d only have one more semester (4months course work and 3 months co-op) left?

Seeking your opinions, please suggest....

Sorry for my long text

Thank you in advance

Rob

hello!! anyone with an idea to share with??

The chances are bleak! In most of the cases, they normally reject the visa application on the basis of home ties.

Hey Robb,
I wanna tell you something,,I know few guys who got visa with their dependent..people always say that its hard to get visa when you apply for visa and I know that.... but no risk no reward...even our visa also depend on luck...so it was better if you applied with your dependent...you never know about future..I am gonna apply with my husband...

but here what I think now,,
she can apply after you will get your visa but as everyone says chances of getting visa is low so better to apply after first semester or after you get PR....

All the very best...

Hi Summerr and vidhi1987... thank you so much for your comments.

Vidhi1987... I believe now that i did a serious mistake by not applying together. :( For now, I think I would proceed with your suggestion and wait for my first semester to be completed. However, just a curiosity, where r u applying from, which CHC? Please share the outcome of you and your husband's application when you get.

My student visa application status still shows under process. It has been 17 days already...finger crossed
