I want to go for my graduate certificate course but i want my husband and 1 yr child to join me later.
how to apply for spouse visa? and is it possible for him to work after reaching thare?

1. You husband can apply for Open work permit which will allow him to work in Canada. The validity of this permit will be till the validity of your Study permit.

2. Keep in mind that the refusal ration for these visas are pretty high so you have to make sure that your husband/dependent case is strong from financial and ties to home point of view.

3. For applying, go to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/work.asp. fill the form and submit. Your husband doesn't need a job/LMO for applying to Open work Permit (OWP)
