Hello all
My husband and I are living in Canada temporarily, and both have work permit. We applied to extend our visa. I was the main applicant and he applied as my dependant. Mine has been approved but my husband is still processing. Is it normal?
we had applied before for visa and work permit together and got the approval at the same time. I don’t know why this time mine has come sooner
 
When we moved to Canada , I got study permit and he got an open work permit as my dependant. Then I applied for a Post Graduate Work Permit and he was eligible to extend his open work permit and we both received our permits

So what extension is he eligible for? Your PGWP has expired, correct?
 
No, my study permit expired. I have my PGWP permit now and he extended his open work permit. Permit is different from visa.
Then we had to apply for visitor visa (in case we want to travel outside Canada) , which I have received recently but he has not
