How does someone after receiving PR, getting married, bring the spouse to Canada?

Can one also sponsor parents after this?

Information about sponsoring your spouse can be found in the link below. You can sponsor your spouse as soon as you get married. Since you are a PR, you will have to be living in Canada when you sponsor your spouse and will have to continue living in Canada while your spouse's PR application is being processed.

Sponsoring parents is quite a bit more complicated. First of all, you must meet a minimum income level for three years and this income must be made in Canada. So if you have just recently arrived in Canada, it will be at least four years before you will even qualify to sponsor your parents (you must provide three years of Canadian tax returns proving you have made enough money to sponsor them). Secondly, only 5,000 parent sponsorship applications are now being accepted each year. This year the cap was reached in 1.5 days. Once you submit the sponsorship application for your parents, you should expect it will take a minimum of three years (quite likely more) for the application to be processed.

Thanks for sharing the information. What about super-visa, is it quicker to bring parents through this process?
I think they would have to return back to home country after two years and then reapply again.
Any idea on how much an international medical insurance for super visa costs?
How long can they stay on visit/tourist visa?

The super visa is faster but does not allow parents to permanently live in Canada (just visit). If you have questions about the super visa or visitor visa you should post them in the Visitors section of this forum.

Inland takes around 2 years. Outland depends on where your spouse is from. Check the CIC site for processing times.
