Spousal Sponsorship would be the next step, if you both want to stay in Canada.

Husband is PR, by all means he can sponsor you.

thank you for your response, should i also pursue my application for owp/pr?
how long does it take usually the spousal sponsorship?
oh, and one more thing he can also apply now or this coming july for citizenship could it be mean that i can apply for it too?

thanks :D

Yes, pursue OWP or PR if you want to stay together in Canada.
Varies with VO and if applying inland or Outland. Is a long process either way, most around a year or more.

That's what Spousal Sponsorship is about becoming a PR. No need to apply on your own, sponsorship will take care of that.

you mean that i don't need to apply this coming may for my pr but instead spousal sponsorship?what about my owp?

Work Permit will be fastest way to stay. PR and Spousal are long processing times.
As far as Citizenship goes you have to meet eligibility requirements.3 years after landing , I believe.
Apply for one or the other. PR or Spousal both get you samething.
Get OWP first, then apply either of other 2. Your choice.

How long did you and your partner live together before you came to Canada?

If the husband was sponsored himself can he sponsor someone else almost right away? I thought there was a wait period.

5 year waiting period if PR was himself Sponsored as a Spouse or ConjugalPartner. Her spouse was sponsored by his mother. Don't think it will apply in this case.
