I am a permanent resident of Canada and citizen of INDIA. Now, I am getting married in December but I am worried after seeing the processing time of New Delhi(INDIA) office, it says that it may take 18 months to get PR for my spouse. And, we are feeling that it is too much for us. And, right now, it is only MAY and I still can proceed carefully(like may be getting work permit etc) so that she can come to Canada right after getting married. Can anyone please suggest how to proceed? Please note that I am totally new to this type of situation so if someone could please explain from the beginning that would be great.
Like, is there any chance of her getting work permit or visitor visa etc.
