Dear Seniors,

In the document checklist IMM5491, meant for spousal sponsorship, spouse residing outside canada, there is no request for photo graphs. Is that correct ? Please advise.

No, you are incorrect. Look at item 25. It is titled 'Proof of relationship to sponsor' and mentions the immigrant's guide.

Each area of the world has its own immigrant guide which details which documents/proof is required.

I meant passport size photo of applicant. They are not requesting for this in the checklist.

As I said, look in the immigrant guide. For example my immigrant guide is the western Europe one and it states clearly how many passport style photos are required.

Go to this page and under Part 3: immigration guides find the one which is for your country (the country where the applicant is from)

Thank you Andrew. Got it. Means we have to follow two guides one as per check list IMM5491 and also country specific guide and checklist.
Notice that in check list IMM5491 there is no mention about sponsored spouse questionnaire (IMM 5490) but country specific checklist has this. Besides country specific list does not have any forms relating to sponsor viz., IMM 1344 or IMM 5481 or IMM 5540. Do you know the reason? Pl advice.

After a recheck, i have noticed the document checklist IMM5491 indeed asks for IMM 5490. Further the checklist (IMM5491) is clear that with regard to sponsored person and family members, we should refer to Immigrants guide which is country specific. All clear and i am on my way to submit to mississauga.
