Hi

This past monday (may 10th) my husband just received all of the supporting documents from our sponsorship application such as the wedding pics, cards, letters, etc. from the ND CHC. But he DID NOT receive his passport back (which he sent three weeks ago) :(

It also says "in process" on ecas.

Has anyone else had the same experience and if so can you tell me how long it would take for his pp to come through? Is this normal?

If anyone has experienced this it would be extremely apperciated if you can share your experience.

thank you

Hi AG,

in Ur case u guys have any Flag? like age issue religion issue ? and he receive call for interview?

Please clear 1st coz here is 2 things possible may be they will call him for interview or they r working on staple he's visa on passport :)

hi...no we DO NOT have a flag or anything. We are of the same religion and he is three years older than me.

Actually everything has been going smoothly with our process. And plus they did not call my husband for an interview. They requested his PP a while ago and he sent the PP in three weeks ago.

So got the supporting docs back but not the PP.

Our's is a very straightforward case.

Hey AG then congratulations. he will get he's passport soon with visa as i am flowing ppls here from last few months so i am little sure about this.

coz if there is issue they must be call him for interview. and they return pics and stuff when they r satisfied and ready to give visa :)

Hi

My husband finally go his passport with VISA today. Ecas also updated on the same day. The wait is finally over and we can relax now.

Good luck to everyone else...please be patient, stay positive, and your day will come soon.

Thanks

Hey Congratulations!!! can u plz share ur timeline. So when is ur hubby headed for canada.......Have a Happy Married Life

HI. The process I thought was quicker than what I had expected. I think the stress I was putting on myself made it seem longer. I asked my husband to do the police checks and the medical before I submitted the application. I know alot of people do the medical afterwards, but I thought I can maybe save some time by getting those certificates done before hand. My best advise is both spouses should read the guidelines carefully, the sponsor and applicant guidelines. Provide as much supporting documents (pics, letters, etc) as possible...you can never have too much, triple check to see all the docs are signed and what is needed is in place so there are no delays, and lastly be patient and everything will come together

I submitted the application to the Miss. office on Feb. 01 2010
Got my sponsorship approval letter on Feb. 28th 2010
File was transferred to ND and processing began March 18th 2010
PP request from ND March 19th 2010, but my husband sent the PP in late April
Got PP with Visa on May 17th 2010

I guess my time frame is the standard one since my case was straightforward.

Congratulations AG so now time for the Party :)

hey and one more thing ur process time not normal i can say its superb fast
you guys are lucky hey :)

im the lucky charm in the relationship...hhahahah...lol (jokes)

well actually my husband always says I am his lucky charm :D

but ND is quiet fast...faster than many other offices...ND is reliable and quick. SO NO WORRIES

yea definetely we are going to celebrate...plus summer is coming so he is coming in a really good time

take care and best of luck
