I will be applying for my spouse sponsorship. She will be coming here in Canada on a visit visa. We will get married here. I am then applying for her sponsorship. But from Toronto, it takes more than 18 months for sponsorship. How can she stay here with me. On what visa and how she can work?
Please guide me.

Inland you can apply for an open work permit at the same time. They usually issue them for 2 years, while they evaluate the PR application.

Yes. She can stay in Canada as a visitor while the outland application is being processed. She can apply to extend her visa about one month before it expires.

You don't need one Zach, if you're a straightforward case. Lawyers tend to be more bad than good, given that lots of them tend to send in the wrong forms, or forget to submit a crucial document, etc. Not to mention they're expensive.
