:o Please iam looking for more advice. I have been dating a man from Canada for a while now he visits for a week here and will do again in march. But We intent to live with each other in Canada. I haven't been employed for over 4 years and don't have much qualifications but some experience so a job will not be a way to go. Iam guessing the best thing we can do at the moment is visit for 6 months in the holidays (when my 10 and 7 year old are out of school) and then apply for a longer 1 for a year or if possible apply for permanent right after visit???? if possible??? either way I cannot work in Canada during the 6 months??? I do intent to get a job while out there when permanent. I would like to study out there also but dont think it will help looking for a school as a process. Also if and when i can extend to a year what about my daughters? will they be allowed to atten school in Canada during that year? i cannot leave them in the uk. He can also provide for the 4 of us confortably i just preffer to have my own job when i can. please any advice on the schooling and gaining permanent residence to bee with my partner would be greatly appreciated.

Family Sponsorship would need either you to be married legally, or common law - which requires living together for one year.
At which point , in either case , you will need to decide to apply either outland, where you wait the process time in your own country
or inland, where you stay in Canada and wait the processsing time.

Outland has a possibility of you visiting , and extending your status as a visitor while you wait , though I am sure it would be tricky as you have children
and I am not sure how they would be able to go to school, as well.. you cannot work while applying outland, nor do you have access to health care unless
you play out of pocket as far as I know.
Outland applications are faster in most cases.

Inland , you can work after 4 to 6 months *not sure exactly how long* when you apply for an open work permit, I do not know how the enrollment of kids in school goes, and
I am not certain about health care in the various provinces.
Inland applications are long and take usually at least 2 years.

Your daughters would need study permits and be required to pay international student fees to attend school in Canada; I believe fees are around $10000/year per child. As said above, you would have no health coverage while here; you could obtain travel insurance to cover emergencies but would have to pay for anything else, such as regular doctor visits.
