hi, i came to Canada as a student, i finish my study as a student and got 3 year open work permit. Last year I got marry and my spouse is Canadian citizen. I put my file in spouse sponsorship category in October 2016, and got file number in November 2016, now my work permit is going to expire in July 2017 and my PR file is still in process , how can i extend my work permit and what kind of documents i need to extend my work permit, please help

did you apply outland or inland? if you applied inland you could apply for a new OWP as part of that. You should also look into the BOWP if you have a PGWP right now.... if you apply for one of these work permits you may be able to continue to work on implied status but send them quickly since your current visa is expiring soon.

PGWPs cannot be extended. Did you apply inland or outland?

did you apply outland or inland? if you applied inland you could apply for a new OWP as part of that. BOWPs are only for those with an economic immigration application. Family Class doesn't qualify.
