If someone's Study Permit is expiring at the end of this month and the person is currently married to a Canadian and wants to apply for Spouse PR Sponsorship within Canada along with Work Permit application.

While these applications would be in process, the applicant would have implied status.

My question is would the applicant still be able to study assuming he is on implied status until he gets his work permit?
or
he would not be able to study because its a work permit application that is currently in process along with PR application?

Please help.

No, the applicant will not be able to study legally. To be able to study legally, the applicant needs to apply to extend the study permit.
