spouse passport name issue

I recently renewed my passport. With this I added my spouse name in it
And also added my surname as her last name but her passport is yet not updated. Now my wife has her old name in her existing passport but mine one shows her name with my surname.

Will this be a problem in filing the application? It is very difficult to renew her passport in short time as she doesnt have any address proof at our current location. In worst case we may have to stay at our hometown for more than a week which would be expensive and timetaking.

Please suggest.
