My girlfriend lives overseas and is a student right now. we have been travelling back and forth for the passed 5 years. She is going to come live with me after school and we will get married but I wanted to ask the forum if she could be processed as Conjugal or would I have to wait until we are married and file as spouse.

From what I have read on the website I think spouse would be my only option .

I would like to get the process started Sooner then later.

Spouse....Since you have travelled back and forth there are obviously no impediments in your way. Conjugal will fail on that regard.

Thanks , just a follow up question.
I have been told that after it is filed she would not be able to leave for 2 years? is this true..
She does not need a visa to enter when she visits.

If you apply inland, application processing could take two years and it's recommended you not leave Canada during this time. (If you leave, there's never a guarantee you will be allowed back in. And if you're not allowed back in, the application will be abandoned and you'll need to start again from scratch.) If you want to be able to travel, apply outland. Note that no open work permit is granted with the outland process.
