My wife (PR holder) and I (visitor visa holder) got married here in Canada last March, 2023 and she is sponsoring me for the Spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. I am currently in Canada. We have the Marriage license already for the submission. Question, do I still need to submit the CENOMAR from the Philippines to IRCC for this application? I will really appreciate the reply for someone who knows this process. Thanks!

@rojzac Yes, you still have to as this is part of the Country-Specific requirement for the Philippines by IRCC. You can request via https://www.psaserbilis.com.ph/ they also ship directly to Canada. or if you have relatives in the Philipines you can have it delivered to their house (takes only 3 to 4 days - depending on where they are in the Philippines) and have them scan it and send it to you. Then have the actual / hardcopy document shipped to you here in Canada.

If you need Birth Certificate from the Philippines, you can request it together with the CENOMAR.

Check the document checklist for your sponsorship. that'll help you with all the required documents.
