Folks - I am Indian Citizen , worked in US for 3 yrs and moved to Canada in Mid nov on ICT visa , My employer applied for my Spouse open work permit on dec 4,2012. we havent heard back anything from Canadian high commission delhi , Case is under processing. when we called VFS they communicated commission is having 20 day time for processing. wanted to know if other cases filed in Nov/Dec also got delayed and what is response time of delhi consulate.

Hi jaswinder...there are so many people who applied in October n November are waiting incLuding me.i applied on november 19..so you have to wait few more weeks I guess. You please follow the thread of pipin..and follow that you will get to know the updates...

Hi i applied for open work permit to canada on Nov 27th. But still hasve not got any reply Really sad on this. My hubby is der in Edmonton for the [ast 4 months. Donno what is blocking these ppl from the process...

i also applied in consulate new delhi for spousal work permit on october 18, 2012, as my wife is studying in ontario for the last one year on a study permit..but i did nt get any news after 90 days..they replied to mail that ' your file is under process and need some more time' any one knows what is the problem?help me

same here, My spouse appiled 15th of Dec 2012 ,Its more than 20 working days and vfs call center can't provide any details about the status

Guys - My wife applied on 4th dec, still in processing. Medical reports are already sent.

I got medical done on 7 Nov and medical details were sent to CHC on 17 Nov and submitted file on Dec 4.. its showing in processing.

According CanadiaVisa website, new letter shows record number of canada visa from India

I guess this could be one of the reason , why the Issue is delayed. I hope they will sort it soon
