Think you and your husband need to discuss if you are prepared to be separated for a while if he can’t get an SOWP. Many spouses are not awarded SOWP while their spouse is a student.

Why separation ? Most of them in my known has already got it
Unfortunately my husband SOWP got refused. Even im surprised for the refusal. First time it got refused cos we filled the section 1-6 ( it was an error) and we didn’t knew that we have to declare the usa visitor visa refusal of 2 years ago. Than the second time it was refused because of the purpose of his visit on March 27 . Its really a difficult time that we are passing by. We are hoping that they are not going to refuse a 3rd application. My husband is an information Technology Specialist and he has a 10 years experience and IELTS score 7.5 its really wired his refusal. We don’t get it

Thank you for your interest in working in Canada. After careful review of your work permit application and supporting documentation under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 200(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 200(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 200(1) of the IRPR, based on your travel history.
• I am not satisfied that you have truthfully answered all questions asked of you.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.

What evidence did you include in his SOWP application to show proof of ties to his home country. How much did you show in available funds?
