hi @Buletruck , thanks for the response, my wife already has an approved multi-entry TRV for 10 years, besides her OWP application is currently mapped with her UCI and valid biometrics, her medicals are valid till early May 2020, will these points help in any positive progress of her OWP application, kindly suggest
No, because just being the spouse of a PR does not entitle your wife to an OWP.

She is only entitled to an OWP if she is applying to PR inland.

Hi, I am a PR who had applied under the Skilled Worker category and my wife submitted an OWP application stating that I as her husband have a PR status and am currently employed in a full time job.

Are there any possible reasons for rejection of this SOWP application, as I am both a PR and a skilled worker with a job in Canada, please suggest
Agree expect a refusal. I think you are getting confused. Think you are getting confused. SOWP is available to spouses of people on closed work permit or PGWP in skilled jobs.

How about spouses of study permit holders who are full time in the university??

I am Indian citizen and living in India only. I am an Architect (B.Arch) and working as a Jr. Architect in private firm in India.
I recently got married and my husband is in Canada on "Open Work Permit" after post graduation from Canada.

I have applied for "Open Work Permit for Spouse" on 17.01.2017.
Filled IMM1295E, IMM5257B_1, IMM5707E and letter of Explanation from my husband along with his Work permit letter, Job offer letter and Salary Slips.
And our marriage certificate and 1 photograph of marriage.

My application got rejected and when my husband seek information under "Access to Information Act" we have got with following explanation for rejection.

"Online case reviewed. Spouse stated to be in Canada on PGWP valid until 2019/10/19. Applicant and inviter are stated to have been married on May 09, 2016. One photograph has been provided that shows them exchanging Garlands. No photographs have been provided that would depict traditional ceremonies taking place. I am not satisfied the evidence provided is sufficient to establish that a legally valid marriage took place between them. Mere possession of a marriage certificate does not establish the validity of a marriage. Not satisfied that applicant has demonstrated that she is the married spouse of an inviter. Consequently, I am not satisfied she is eligible for an open work permit under R205(c)(ii). Refused.

Please review my case and advise what to do now? Can I apply again with some more photographs? What more evidence required to prove validity of marriage?

And If I just want to visit Canada now then can I apply for "Visitor Visa" along with continuing process for Work permit? or that would make work permit process unnecessarily complicated?

PLEASE GUIDE... THANKS IN ADVANCE....!
hello this is sounds like minor refusal so you can reapply.
